And now, announcing the new group Slower... Children Playing**. "Oh honey, they're growing up so quickly; it seems like yesterday that they were little kids..."

Blake Adamson
Blake was an only child, birthed by a couple of wannabe surfer hippies in Lomita , California . "Where in the hell is Lomita " was the town motto. He gave way his ambitions of being an aircraft mechanic to be a manager at The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach where he hibernated for ten years before realizing that all work and no play really sucks. He then decided to follow in his father-in-law's footsteps and become a voiceover actor. Along the way, improv kept rearing its interesting and sometimes funny head, until one day he stumbled upon Slow...Children At Play, which he believes is a great place to coax those pesky characters out of one's closet. Blake's motto is "Dare To Suck.” If he does, let's hope it's with a straw!!!

Mark Bowen

Mark’s baseball career was really taking off after winning many awards andbeing named first team to L.A.’s All-City High School squad earning him a scholarship to C.S.U.N. He was also offered a spot at U.S.C. but with his motherbeing a U.C.L.A. alum, that was quickly turned down. After realizing that making a fortunein baseball was too easy, Mark turned to Hollywood to find his fame thus landing himwith S...CAP. Mark hopes to be the next Buster Keaton....but in color...and, um...with sound.

Marion Calvert

After growing up in the valley while hearing one too many “Like, oh my gosh,”along with excessive tight perms from her favorite spa, she quickly fled and joined the army. Realizing after four long years that she was more like a Private Benjamin instead of a GI Jane, Marion finally accepted the fact that the army just wasn’t for her. With that in mind, she ventured forward taking on a variety of jobs and going to different schools trying to find out if there was more to her than just a great perm. So one day, she decided to take her first acting class. Then...BANG...just like that, she found her passion which quickly led her to S...CAP. She doesn’t wear perms anymore but some of her characters do...sort of. And while S...CAP may not be a spa, the spelling of both is similar...like, sort of..

Drea Gray
Born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Drea spent her early childhood in red leather lederhosen, courtesy of her German parents. Never one to be shy, however, she often removed them in public when they began to chafe. Clearly lacking boundaries as well as a sense of what was appropriate, Drea was destined for L.A.! Since moving here in 2003, she has begun to unleash the many secret, creative desires she has harbored for years because they were beginning to chafe.

Susan Marie Keller
Susan hails all the way from the exotic sounding Tiburon, California, where she got her start in ‘The Biz’ by performing with the gaucho clad dance performance team “The Disco Dolls”. I’m not THAT old...it was the first round of retro...I swear! From playing Tituba in “The Crucible: The Musical” in Germany, to Vegas showgirl-ing in Japan with Mariachi back up, there’s almost nothing this girl hasn’t done! (How does that double negative rule work again?) After graduating from Second City last year, she is happy to have found some new crazy people to play with...SLOWLY!

Allison Lefkowitz
Mild mannered executive assistant by day, wacky improver by night, Allison is ready to burst through the doors of S...CAP to rescue small kittens from trees, save the world from fast food apocalypse and even get a few laughs. Currently honing her skills in animation voiceover, Allison is thrilled to have an outlet for the various characters that live inside her head. Despite her double life, Allison promises to play nicely and share her toys with her fellow cast members….as long as they do not reveal her true identity to the outside world.
Shannan Leigh
Who knew that becoming president of a sorority could have led to this! After an exploratory committee,a freak-out session occurred and acting classes soon followed.Who could be in charge of 70 girls and not “fake” it every once in awhile? From all of the rush weeks, Greek weeks, social events, meetings, laughter and tears--a character or two developed along with a love for creating and entertaining. Having lived on both coasts and several places in between (go Buckeyes), more characters have come about which seem to help with all of the auditions. Slow…Children at Play is a perfect place toshowcase those characters and let them live on.

Elizabeth Rick
Elizabeth has lived in LA for 7 years, after hailing from Florida. For the record, she knows how to use a ballot. A real do-it-yourself girl, Elizabeth has done everything from character work in a bear suit to becoming an indie film director. She loves kung-fu, horses and making her family laugh. And even after being in the circus, she has yet learned to juggle. Any suggestions are appreciated. She however does not like whistling or having her picture taken.
Many thanks to S...CAP for giving her a place to play!

Michael Silva
Michael was born and raised in New York with the accent to prove it. A sheltered, sad child in a time when children were not allowed to medicate, Michael acted out his reluctance to scouting and mood swings through artistic expression. In other words, lies and stories complete with melodramatic overtones and pathetic subtextual subtleties. Improv has provided the creative dialysis for this behavior allowing Michael to focus and pursue his real dreams in accounting.

Matt Wiberg
Born a poor little rich kid with a pewter spoon in his mouth, Matt was born to a family from the upper crust of lower society. His acting career started at a young age when his dad would feed him eggs. Using early improv talents, Matt saw the 'egg' as a frisbee. Of course, most kids would just have their "˜frisbees" sunny side up. But not Matt. After graduating high school, he spent a short stint learning to march in a straight line. The military did some good things for him, but Matt still wonders what happened with those ten years of his life. He is proud to be performing with Slow...Children at Play and enjoys doing all kinds of characters. Matt's philosophy is this--where else can you come and act like a three-year old without the need to suck your thumb. Enough said. Eggs anyone?

Tristan Wright
Tristan was born into a strict and very conservative family. He was never allowed to improvise as all of his exchanges, thoughts, and actions were carefully scripted. Years of therapy taught him that it was OK to “Yes And.” He escaped to Los Angeles three years ago and has been acting ever since. Along with recently joining the S...CAP family, Tristan has been seen on “Days of Our Lives” and “The History Channel” along with many independent films (students love me) and numerous stage productions.
